Dense purple/blue core and hue. Ripe dark fruit on the nose, slightly exotic and balsamic with dried herbs, dried cherry, a whiff of oak and aniseed. The palate is still youthful with a slight firmness, plenty of tannin starting to soften, layers of red and dark berries, good grip and length. Fine potential but a style needing more bottle ageing to open. Drink from 2022.
