Bright dark purple colour with some age on the rim. The nose is pure and intense with some maturity, notes of truffle, violet, dark berries, tobacco and new oak. The palate is dense and powerful with a fine level of evolution, still with a tannic backbone but starting to soften, nicely layered with spicy dark fruit, aniseed, liquorice, tobacco, a nice nerve of freshness underneath, and a long and dense finish.
