Marquês de Marialva – Grande Reserve – 2011
Bairrada
Portugal,
Bairrada,
Inky ruby core and an aged rim. Floral nose with rose petal, dry spices, tobacco, wild herbs and ripe dark fruit. The palate is dense, still a rather youthful texture with high tannin, yet no hard edges and a fresh backbone, nice layers of spicy fruit and a long finish with some balsamic spiciness and complexity.
