Masi – Serego Alighieri Vaio Armaron – 2011
Amarone della Valpolicella

Italy,
Veneto,
Dark inky core and a purple hue. The nose is ripe with some maturity showing dark fruit - cherry, cassis, plum, dark chocolate and cigar box. The palate is warm, rich and ripe, some new oak, vanilla and layers of dark fruit, rich and ripe but not sweet with a healthy dose of tannin and acidity, still youthful and bold though, long and caressing finish, still a style that should develop well.
