Red wine with a developed colour here, we have some evolution; ruby centre, brick rim. Quite discreet nose here, I would say more of a traditional style. We have some slightly volatile hints here, in balance but indicating a traditional style. Rather red fruity notes like dried cherry, then some hints of leather, some gamey spiciness. Quite fine palate actually, it has a good density here. I think it’s rounded, it has got a certain aging. The tannins are barely noticeable but we still get some weight and grip from those fine and grainy tannins. We have a sweet red fruitiness here reminiscent of red sweet cherry, Roséhip; then we can add the spice box to that, some notes of dried wood and sweet spices like ginger, clove, pepper. Quite silky texture. This is a wine that gives me a certain impression of sweetness, but it should probably be drunk as a dry red wine; however I would put it at the end of a meal, rather with cheese instead of more elegant dishes. I like this actually, I think it’s well-made in a traditional style, it has a certain complexity, that rounded soft texture and elegant sweet fruit. Good length.
