France,
Champagne,
Medium deep colour here, very light golden with a green tinge and a youthful quite vivid mousse. Fine nose here, slightly vinous style. Here again I would talk about some notes from the lees, some creamy buttery notes, nuts, almond, and ripe citrus. Very nice bite on the palate here, quite dry style, rather towards extra brut in my mind; not a lot of dosage. Very good grip in terms of that salivating effect you get on the palate here, much more Chardonnay in style on the taste so high acidity, quite elegant, nicely firm I would say, with finely balanced bubbles adding that creamy texture. Keeps lingering as well, it has a good length with finely tuned Chardonnay fruit; and again I would finish off with the word “austere” here in the positive sense of the word: mouthwatering, very salivating in a more pure and mineral style.
