Côte de Brouilly

France,
Beaujolais,
Medium deep colour, ruby-red with a slightly purple hue, indicating youth. Fine nose. I would say slightly mineral, stony, with a lot of wild berry fruit, like wild raspberry, plum and cherry. There is a mild spiciness there, in the direction of white pepper, clove, ginger. A certain complexity as well. A good depth. Quite layered. Good bite on the palate. I love this juiciness. This keeps within the medium bodied frame, but it is really packed with crushed red berry fruit. Very fine tannin. Spicy notes of ginger and white pepper. It truly does have a good length and persistence. I would summarize this as a very Burgundian style with lovely juicy fruit. Good length, good grip and good potential.
