France,
Bordeaux,
Medium deep colour, a certain development, ruby-red. Fine nose, showing some maturity here, combining mostly red fruit, wild berries, with plum. There is a fine hint of oak in the background. Rather a mild spiciness. Quite open it seems. The palate has a bit more than medium weight, but I would say it is quite rounded in terms of texture. Attractive and juicy fruit. Slight mineral sensation as well, giving a lift to those sweet raspberry and plum notes. There is fine oak, hint of vanilla, quite mild spiciness. I think this one is approaching maturity, starting to open up and behaving quite smoothly. Quite a long finish, lingering with a good freshness, elegant fruit. It should certainly develop for quite a few years but no, pretty good drink today.
