Dense dark purple core. Some development on the nose, some leathery/meaty notes with roasted oak and jammed dark fruit, very ripe and hot palate with dried fruit, prune, raisin, figs and roasted oak with firm tannin and a rather austere finish. Slightly ambitious and concentrated but with drying fruit and oak dominating the palate.
