France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Red wine, youthful, no signs of age on the rim, still has that very youthful purple blue core. Clean nose, youthful, still has almost that scent of freshly fermented grapes. No oak is involved in this one. We have rather red fruity aromas, we have plum, and we have some quite mild spices. Palate has medium weight, with just a slight hint of tannins, they’re still young, they’re not really that intensive or pronounced, but it gives a good lift on the palate. The fruit is more reminiscent of fresh berries like red currants that have that youthful freshness. Clean and fresh, with a rather high acidity, medium weight, medium length. I would prefer to keep this for another 6 months or so to round off a little bit more, it would open up aromatically. If you want to enjoy it young which is fine too, give it a slight aeration. Nice!
