Dark purple core and a lighter red rim. Spicy nose of aniseed, orange, zest, cherry, plum and a hint of oak. Dense palate, youthful texture, high tannin starting to soften with finely integrated oak and spicy dark fruit flavours, it has good grip and length. A wine still needing some time to soften but should develop well, fine potential here.
