Inky bright purple core and hue. Rather exotic nose offering balsamic notes, jammed cherry, plum, clove, cinnamon, and an exotic spiciness with some leather, tobacco, and dried herbs. The palate stays within a medium-bodied frame, yet with good flavour intensity, density and length, a rather traditional style with balanced oak, grippy butt ripe tannin and a long vigorous finish. Good character.
