Inky dark purple core and hue. Nuanced nose offering fine oak and butterscotch with inky dark blackberry, cassis, cherry and some smoked meat notes. Dense and vigorous palate, a tannic richness but already well distributed with layers of savoury dark fruit, bay leaf and sage notes with a mild oak derived spiciness leading to a long and meaty finish.
