Podere Sapaio – 2008

Very dark and inky colour with a high viscosity. Attractive and pure nose, some floral notes, violet, dark berries, blackcurrant, fine spices and a very slight hint of new oak. Very good density on the palate, dark and vibrant fruit, good level of freshness, attractive extraction without hard edges, really fine tannins and a very long, pure, mineral finish - really fine stuff with great potential.
