Italy,
Tuscany,
Medium deep ruby-red colour, appearing fairly young. The nose offers some meaty and gamey notes. Some hints of raw meat with red fruit, cherry, some vanilla and a gentle hint of oak. Good grip on the palate. Quite full with a good weight, density of fruit. In terms of texture, already rounded with a quite mellow still present oak, tannin. Juicy, cherry fruit. On the nose, I picked up more of the meatiness, slightly gamey. I think the palate has more of that primary fruit, sweet red cherry, a mild spiciness, no indication of oak and a quite long finish. Should develop over the coming two, three, four years. Taste wise I think it drinks pretty well already.
