Pol Roger – Pure Extra Brut – NV

Light golden colour with a fine vivid mousse. Generous nose, some maturity and pastry/butter notes with ripe citrus, pear and plum notes. Bone dry and rather full palate, good balance with a fresh backbone, mild creaminess, rather Extra Brut style, yet with generous fruit that gives a nice sweet coating, fine pastry and butter notes with candied citrus flavour and a long lingering finish.
