Inky dark purple core and hue with a lighter ruby rim. Still a rather youthful nose, offering darker fruit characters, cassis, cherry, mint, sage, tobacco, and a slight oak-derived spiciness. Dense palate, still youthful and unresolved, yet with ripe but present tannins, a good degree of freshness, mild oak and massive dark fruit with some herbaceous notes, ambitious, needs more time or thorough decanting before enjoying.
