Switzerland,
Valais,
Quite intense golden colour, high viscosity. Very rich nose, very inviting, with layers of spicy, almost candied fruit, honey, glazed apricot, pineapple, saffron and pastry. Beautiful, very complex, and multi-layered. Immense sweetness on the palate, very viscous, with plenty of glycerin and extract. Super opulent fruit, but not cloying in any way. High sweetness, but it is well-balanced by a very bright and present acidity. Not really any oak present. Gorgeous purity of fruit, very vital and vibrant despite that thick sweetness. Extremely long and lingering aftertaste, tempting to enjoy now for that plethora of luscious fruit, however this is certainly a wine that will age for 20, 30, 40, 50 years if anyone has the patience to do so. Excellent.
