Switzerland,
Valais,
Bright golden colour, medium-deep golden. Beautiful nose, really intriguing, with a plethora of aromas. Luscious yellow fruit, at the same time marked by that minerality, stoniness; almonds, nuts and almost a smoky hint giving off something aromatic like white truffle or chestnut. Beautiful on the nose. Excellent palate; the nose might confuse you to believe it’s a sweet wine but this is actually bone dry. Excellent grip, excellent density of fruit, layers of that nutty yellow fruit, mouthwatering freshness at the same time, really long and lingering, complex. This is obviously a wine with a certain evolution and I think that shows how much a great white wine can gain from aging. Beautiful stuff, very long finish, very complex. I’m not sure what this is, but it’s a bloody great wine with a great complexity, and it can compete with the great wines of the world. Beautiful.
