Psâgot – Edom Kosher – 2013

Very dark centre here, dark ruby-red, slightly lighter rim, high viscosity it seems, sweet nose here, showing a lot of ripeness here. The fruit is rather a mix of red and dark berries, cooked plum, really sweet plum, and some notes of cream de cassis and a hint of mint. Still very youthful on the palate, this is a wine with a high concentration, plenty of extract in terms of tannin, far from ready, however I think it is good proportions combining. I think this is showing more restrain on the palate than the nose. Nicely layered with dark fruit, with plenty of extract to back it up, balanced acidity as well. It has a good density, weight and length. So I would call this a wine with fine potential for further cellaring. It would perhaps require another two years to open up a little bit more, but I see a good potential in this one.
