Dark purple core and a tawny hue. Intense nose, some maturity and complexity with notes of spice box, tobacco, dried flower and sweet dark fruit. The palate has a youthful and dense structure, still a bit tight with high tannin but nicely built with ripe dark berries, a fresh backbone and a long juicy finish. Drinks well but should certainly improve with age.
