Very dense purple core with a slightly lighter rim. Sweet nose, rather Port-like with ripe dark fruit, dark plum, cassis, jammed berries and sweet spices. The palate has the structure of a sweet wine but remains dry, masses of dark fruit, fine but plenty of tannin, floral notes, modest oak and a long dense finish. Very massive but well-balanced for the style, should develop really well.
