Dense purple core and a slight maturity on the rim. Pure nose, still rather youthful with hints of sweet red fruit, a slight hint of oak with mild spices. The palate is ripe, rounded and unctuous with sweet fruit, jammed berries, some herbal spices and fine oak underneath. Rather long aftertaste but still youthful with a slight tannic bite on the finish.
