Portugal,
Douro,
Colour is very purplish-blue, medium intensity. Very pure nose, floral, aromatic, with fresh wild berry fruit, violet, hint of minerality. Nice brightness on the palate. This is medium weight, with a bright freshness. Very elegant fruit here, wild red and dark berries. Rounded tannin, still a bit youthful, but nothing harsh or angular here. So a fine level of tannin, there are some notes of bitter chocolate on the mid-palate. It has a good length, fine acidity on the finish. Very mild spiciness. Still youthful, certainly a wine that should develop more complexity over the coming years, but I think it drinks quite nicely already.
