Portugal,
Douro,
Very youthful appearance here, slightly purple hue, medium-deep intensity. Quite lush nose here, combining really ripe fruit with some roasted oak. There are notes of cassis, dark cherry, blackberry, but very pure. Slight hint of minerality as well. Good grip on the palate. Fine concentration here, combining both that ripe fruit with fine extract and acidity. The oak is nicely integrated on the palate. It just adds some hints of mocha or roasted coffee. I would say in terms of structure, it is medium towards full in terms of weight. But it does have a good density of fruit. Fine flavour intensity. Long lingering finish. It still appears youthful, but I do not think there is nothing hard or harsh about it. So it drinks pretty well, even though I think it will continue to develop complexity over the coming years.
