Quinta do Crasto – Reserva Vinhas Velhas – 2011

Bright dark purple colour. Generous nose with fine oak, roasted notes, vanilla and inky dark berries. The palate starts out discreetly but expands on the palate, very dense and concentrated fruit, impressive texture with very high extract, truly finely grained tannin, bright acidity, lovely dark blackberry and cassis flavours and a mineral notion, very long, pure and lingering finish. Excellent potential.
