Inky dark purple colour. Pure nose of ripe dark fruit, blackberry, cassis, cherry with violet notes, spice box and mild oak underneath. The palate is ample, dense and concentrated with fine extraction, high but ripe tannin, layers of fresh dark berries, plum, tobacco and mild oak. Very long and powerful finish, finely built with nice layers and complexity despite a magnificent concentration. Rather accessible and nuanced, yet with a very fine potential for ageing.
