Quinta Vale do Bragao – Reserva – 2014
Douro

Portugal,
Douro,
Inky dark purple colour with a lighter rim. Intense and ripe nose, rather port-like with pure black fruit, sweet spices, a hint of oak and liquorice. Very dense palate with intense flavours and a very long persistency. It offers crushed black fruit, crème de cassis and kirsch with discreet oak and spiciness. Certainly a big wine that should improve for a long time, still a bit tight and restrained, needing a few more years in the cellar.
