Raineri – Monserra – 2013

Barolo
MEDAILLE-TASTED-91-2024
Italy,
Piedmont,
Medium deep colour with an orange hue. Youthful but layered nose exuding fine tobacco, dry spices, red berries, and sweet cherry. The palate is dense but finely grained with ripe but plentiful tannin, juicy and fluid red fruit with plum, cherry and just a hint of new wood and butterscotch, well-retained acidity, ripe fruit, and a long and chewy finish. Still youthful but no hard edges, quite tempting, yet with a very fine potential.
