Dense ruby red core and a lighter rim. Pure nose, some maturity and plenty of ripe fruit, a hint of oak, red and black berries, plum, leather and tobacco. The palate is dense and concentrated with vigorous fruit, dark berries, prune, dried spices, a high but rounded extract, ripe with a hint of alcohol on the finish but balanced with good complexity and a long lingering finish.
