Very deep golden or rather amber colour, with a slight green rim. Fine nose here, we have some maturity and complexity. I pick up of course some of that sugar, caramel, molasses, with fine spices. There’s a clear hint of wood, with some nutty and dried fruity aromas. Good grip on the palate, fine wood here. Alcohol is well-kept; it starts out quite discreetly, but it expands on the palate. Quite long lasting here, with a spicy finish with some gentle hints of caramel.
