Argentina,
Mendoza,
Very intense colour here, high density and dark purple-black core. Very intense nose. Very modern and lush style with plenty of oak. Slightly roasted with vanilla, smoke. High ripeness of fruit here, like jam blackberry, jam cherry. High concentration on the palate. High ripeness. Really sweet almost like jammed dark fruits. Plenty of oak on the palate as well. Still youthful with quite pronounced tannin. A lot of oak on the palate as well, slightly burnt and toasted notes. Mild acidity and a rather high alcohol, almost bordering on a Port wine style, in terms of flavour. Quite long finish. It just seems a bit muted and youthful today. With a high presence of both tannin and oak, masking some more of the fruit. Should definitely deserve some more ageing.
