Rocca di Castagnoli – Poggio a’ Frati Riserva – 2013

Medium deep ruby red colour with a tawny rim. The nose is showing some maturity with notes of tobacco, cedar wood, dried cherry and red fruit. Classic palate with a high acidity, rather firm tannin, sour cherry and red currant notes, some aromatic complexity but still a certain dryness on the finish. This needs time to soften.
