Dense core and a lighter mature rim. The nose is mature with a balsamic spiciness, dried fruit, prune, dried cherry and sweet spices. Dense palate, still rather tight with high tannin, dark fruit flavours, liquorice and balsamic notes with a long finish. A dense and muscular wine still needing time to soften.
