Spain,
Castilla y Leon,
Quite intense colour here. Dark, ruby-purple, I would say. Quite viscous texture as well. Pure nose, with layers of dark fruit. Quite intense with hints of cassis, dark cherry, mild spices and really no indication of oak. Still appearing quite youthful. More on the primary fruity side than on the complex or spicy side. Quite vigorous palate here. Still remaining a bit youthful, dense and tight. However, it does have a good purity of fruit here with layers of those dark blackcurrant, plum and cherry. Plenty of tannins, I think they are starting to integrate now. So it gives a good lift there. Some hints of bitter chocolate. It has a good length as well. So I would say, clearly a wine with a high concentration, rather massive fruit. It would just need another one to two years in the cellar to open up and offer a bit more roundness. None of the less, it should develop really well.
