Rollier de La Martinette – 2014
Côtes de Provence

France,
Provence,
Rosé wine with a very pale colour, just a hint of onion skin. Pure and fresh nose, indicating youth. Slight mineral note, some floral notes; then I pick up rather pear, quince, with a slight hint of red citrus. Good bite on the palate, very crisp. I would say balanced in terms of tannins here, very gentle tannins that still add a slight spice and bite. High acidity here, gives a quite mouthwatering sensation. In terms of body it’s rather light, on the lighter side, elegant and nicely restrained. It has a certain length and it keeps lingering for a while. So light, crisp and well-made in a classic rosé de Provence style.
