France,
Bordeaux,
Youthful medium intense colour, ruby-red with a slight hint of purple at the core. Very youthful nose, showing some floral hints, violet, with a mix of red and dark berries. Rather like plum and wild berry fruit. Discreet spices, some pepper and vanilla. No evident oak. Palate has medium weight with a quite high level of extract. Still a bit youthful and tight on the palate. There is good acidity. Elegant and juicy fruit. It feels like a good level of ripeness. We just need to wait for those tannin to soften a little bit. Quite long aftertaste as well. A wine with a potential for development. I would give it one to two more years for the tannin to soften and from then on it should easily have ten more years of life ahead of it.
