Germany,
Baden,
We have a youthful wine here, with a slightly green tinge and medium deep straw colour. Very nice brightness. I really like this nose. This is something I would call very Burgundian style, finely toasted. Very discreet but fine oak, some hints of roasted nuts, almond. Not an aromatic variety so more in the Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc style. With elegant fruit, ripe citrus, some pear and quince. A really fine nose, I really like that toastiness. Good grip on the palate. Bone-dry, marked by fairly high acidity. You still feel its youth but I think it is well balanced. I think that this freshness and combination with those toasty notes, just about ripe fruit, it gives a very elegant and positively austere sensation on the palate. So good grip, long finish, with finely toasted notes. A wine I would enjoy now, but I probably enjoy it even more after another two to three years in the cellar. So very nice.
