Sangenís i Vaqué – Clos Monlleó – 2000

Dark ruby red colour still with a purple hue. Mature nose with notes of walnut, leather, meat, dark fruit, and some wood with a slightly aged oxidation underneath. The palate has more purity than the nose. Sweet dark fruit, cassis and Kirsch notes, still with some noticeable wood and vanilla. The texture is rounded but still dense fruit, long fleshy finish. A mature wine ready to drink.
