Sangervasio – A Sirio – 2009

Intense dark ruby with a purple core. Ripe dark fruit on the nose - cherry, plum, cassis with a mild spiciness, liquorice, aniseed and discreet oak. The palate has good density and weight, still youthful with a fair amount of tannin, yet no harshness or dryness, lingering dark fruit flavours of cassis with aromatic herbs and a long lingering finish, fine example with good potential.
