France,
Sud Ouest,
Intense inky almost black colour. The nose is modern and polished with some maturity and evolution showing aromas of new oak, ripe dark fruit like blackberry, plum and cassis with dry spices, aniseed, tobacco and some meatiness. The palate is dense and vigorous, ripe and opulent, yet starting to come together with ripe tannin, a fresh acidity underneath, layers of ripe dark fruit and cassis notes with gingerbread spices and a long dense finish. Just a bit restrained on the finish but should open up within the near future. Ambitious and potent.
