Santa Ema – Catalina – 2014

Intense dark colour with a purple hue. Ripe dark fruit, notably cassis with pepper, mint and sage notes and a touch of new wood. The palate is still youthful but nicely polished with ripe tannin, a slight touch of oak and roasted coffee with layers of fresh dark fruit, fine spiciness with sage, mint and tobacco. Good grip and length, still a bit youthful with an oaky presence with room for improvement.
