Italy,
Sardegna,
Quite developed colour here. Deep ruby-red with a slightly fading rim. Medium intense nose. It sits somewhere in between youthful crushed fruit, with some slightly more developed notes here. Some cedar wood, tobacco, some prune, slightly riper, or almost dried fruit. The palate is ripe, it is full-bodied with an intense fruitiness. Quite high level of tannin. Just about to integrate right now. Still with a slight tannic feel on the finish. None of the less it is not harsh, it is not hard, just a present of tannin. There is a fine spiciness there, with white pepper, some sweet spiciness like candied ginger or orange peel. Quite persistent and no oak is really noticeable taste wise, but I think this is a style that has gotten some time in oak. A wine that is approachable today and should continue to develop for quite a few years.
