Italy,
Sardegna,
Red wine, with a medium deep ruby-red colour. Starting to lose a little bit of the colour on the rim. Generous nose displaying ripe fruit, with notes of plum, red and dark berries, some hints of liquorice. Slight hint of pepper, slightly leafy spiciness, like tobacco leaf. Good grip on the palate. Rather full-bodied, with more fruitiness than extract. So quite mild and rounded tannins with a slight pepperiness on the palate, liquorice. Yeah, a quite spicy profile, I would say. With attractive dark plum and crushed berry fruit. There is a slight hint of oak in the background but well-integrated indeed. Good grip on the finish. Rather long finish here. Or actually a long finish leaving a lot of fruitiness on the after taste. So a fine example, which is already attractive for its enjoyable fruit. It certainly does have the structure to go on for, I would say, another eight to ten years in a good cellar.
