France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Red wine with a medium towards dark ruby nuance. Pure nose, intense, very sweet with floral notes, sweet red fruits, stewed berries, and a slight hint of herbal spiciness. Attractive palate with rather juicy fruit, still young, with rather youthful tannic bite, we have sweet red berry fruit here, some notes of plum. Quite good structure, much more than medium-bodied but still vinified in a quite subtle way, the fruit is dominating, I don’t get any oak on the palate. Sweet fruit even if the palate is dry. Attractive finish with juicy red berries, some herbal notes. Well-made, fairly accessible today, it has the weight and opulence to develop over the course of a few years, but I would call this very drinkable right now.
