Siegel – Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon – 2013
Colchagua Valley

Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Medium to deep ruby-red with a slight purple core. Youthful nose here, showing off some new oak. Quite dark fruitiness, such as plum, cassis, with some wild herbs, tea leaf and some hints of almond. The palate has a medium weight, medium concentration, quite elevated acidity, so a high level of freshness. Still youthful tannin. However, nothing harsh or hard. It is just a bit young. I suppose within the coming year, it should open up nicely. Quite juicy and attractive fruit, with those plum, cassis notes. There is an herbal spiciness on the finish, medium-long.
