Taittinger – Comtes de Champagne – 2014

Light golden with a bright hue and vivid, delicate bubbles. The nose starts out a bit shy but opens with chalky notes, lemongrass and ripe citrus, followed by hazelnut, mild toast, pale stone fruit, fresh butter and sweet pastry (yet remaining comfortably dry on the palate ). Elegant palate showing great purity and more length than breadth, finely nuanced with a mellow creaminess, pure fruit and conit de citron leading to a long and pristine finish.
