Galilée

Israel,
Galilée,
Red wine with an intense colour dark-ruby core, still with a hint of blue indicating youth. Fresh nose, a mix of red and dark berries; predominantly red and black currant, some plum, some aromatic herbs, like sage and quite discreet oak. Good density of fruit on the palate, also really well done acidity. This feels like warm and ripe fruit, but there is sufficient freshness there to give it a lift. There is also tannic presence, but I think there is nothing harmed. It will still develop and gain more roundness with age. I think this a nice, more of a medium weight nuanced and layered expression. The freshness keeps lingering through on the finish as well. Fairly long on the finish, with a really nice and juicy dark fruitiness. A wine that can be drunk today, I would give it a slight aeration, and then it will develop harmony and roundness for the coming two or three years, but it can probably be kept longer than that as well.
