Israel,
Samson,
Red wine, youthful very vigorous colour, dark black-purple in the centre, still with a blue tinge on the rim, indicating youth. The nose starts out discreetly, but it has a nice purity of fruit, layered with plenty of ripe, dark fruit; like cassis, dark cherry, mild spices and quite discreet oak. Really dense texture here, with a high concentration of fruit. Plenty of tannin but quite finely grained more like cocoa powder, some notes of chocolate there. However still appearing rather youthful. It really has a good length. I think the quality of those fine tannins in combination of this dark, concentrated fruit really gives a nice tasting experience, really a mouthful. The only reservation is that it is still a bit youthful and square. I think it is a wine that will definitely gain more nuance in the coming two to three years, and could be aged longer than that doubtlessly, but fine potential to put back in the cellar.
