Italy,
Tuscany,
Red wine with a light towards medium deep ruby-red, some evolution on the rim. The nose is displaying mostly red fruit character, first thing that comes to my mind is red cherry, then some red berry notes. Really no influence of oak, however I feel like there is some spicy elements as well; like some dried spices, like liquorice. Nice palate, I would call this medium weight, with a quite polished texture as well. So I get a good sense of freshness, quite vital acidity there, adding those sour red cherry flavours. Really polished in terms of tannin. There is a fine backbone of tannins, much more of an emphasis of fruit without those influences of oak. Mild spiciness on the finish and a quite long persistence as well. A nice and pleasurable, straightforward traditional style, I would say. I would happily drink as well.
